Which guide do I need?

Buy $WUD the Easy Way

All you need is DOT in a Polkadot wallet such as Nova Wallet, SubWallet or Talisman. DOT still on Asset Hub works too: the Buy button moves it over for you.

1. Open the Trade page, press Connect at the top and pick your wallet.
2. Approve the connection in your wallet and choose your account. Your address shows at the top.
3. Pay with DOT is already picked. If your DOT is on Asset Hub, choose DOT from Asset Hub.
4. Enter how much DOT to spend, press Buy $WUD and approve once.

Your first buy must be at least 20,000 $WUD, the minimum balance for $WUD on Hydration.

Buy with USDT or USDC

Buy $WUD straight from stablecoins, no DOT needed. Your USDT or USDC needs to be on Hydration. If it's on Asset Hub, move it over first.

1. Connect your wallet on the Trade page.
2. Under Other ways in, tap USDT or USDC, then Pay with USDT or Pay with USDC.
3. Enter an amount, press Buy $WUD and approve. It's one transaction, straight into $WUD.

Buy with MetaMask

Coming from Ethereum? Buy $WUD with MetaMask, no Polkadot wallet needed. Your first deposit also pays your network fees on Hydration, so you never need another token.

1. On the Trade page, tap MetaMask and press Connect MetaMask. It adds the Hydration network for you.
2. Open the Cross-chain tab and use From Ethereum to bring ETH, USDC or USDT. It usually lands in 15 to 30 minutes. Keep a little ETH in MetaMask for the Ethereum fee.
3. Back on Trade, pick ETH, USDC or USDT under Pay with, enter an amount and press Buy $WUD.
4. Tap Add $WUD to MetaMask to see it in your wallet.

Start with a Card

No crypto yet? Wallet apps let you buy DOT with a card, then you buy $WUD with that DOT.

1. Download Nova Wallet or SubWallet and create a wallet. Write your recovery phrase down offline and never share it.
2. Tap Buy in the app. Pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Banxa, Mercuryo or Transak, and DOT lands in your wallet.
3. Open gavunwud.com/trade in the app's browser, connect, and buy with your DOT.

Move Tokens Cross-chain

Move DOT, USDT, USDC or $WUD between Polkadot Asset Hub and Hydration in one step. Every move is test-run on both chains before you sign, so nothing gets stuck.

1. Connect your wallet on the Trade page and open the Cross-chain tab.
2. Pick what to move and the direction: Asset Hub to Hydration, or back.
3. Enter an amount, press Move and approve. It usually arrives in under a minute.

Send $WUD

Send $WUD to any Polkadot address. It arrives within seconds.

1. Connect your wallet on the Trade page and open the Transfer tab.
2. Pick the chain your $WUD is on. Most $WUD is on Hydration.
3. Paste the Polkadot address and enter an amount.
4. Tick the box once you've checked the address, press Send and approve.

On Hydration, a new holder needs at least 20,000 $WUD. Never send $WUD to an exchange deposit address.

Burn $WUD

Burned $WUD goes to an address nobody controls, so it's gone forever and every holder's share gets a little bigger.

1. Open the Burner Board and connect your wallet.
2. Pick where your $WUD is, Hydration or Asset Hub, and enter how much to burn.
3. Tick the box, press Burn and approve once. Your name goes on the Top burners board.

Add Liquidity on Hydration

Add $WUD and DOT to the main WUD/DOT pool and earn a share of the 0.3% fee on every trade. It works with Polkadot wallets and MetaMask, right on gavunwud.com, or in the Hydration app if you prefer.

1. Hold $WUD and DOT on Hydration.
2. Connect on the Trade page and open the Liquidity tab.
3. Enter one amount in the Hydration pool card. The other side fills in at the pool ratio.
4. Press Add and approve. Your position and a Remove button show right there.

Add Liquidity on Asset Hub

The WUD/DOT pool on Polkadot Asset Hub works the same way. Liquidity providers there earn a share of the 0.3% fee on every trade in that pool.

1. Hold $WUD and DOT on Asset Hub. Move $WUD there if it's on Hydration.
2. Connect on the Trade page and open the Liquidity tab.
3. Enter one amount in the Asset Hub pool card. The other side fills in at the pool ratio.
4. Press Add and approve. Keep about 0.05 DOT on Asset Hub for network fees.
