How deposits work
- Your funds stay yours. They arrive at your own MetaMask address on Hydration, and this page checks that before you sign.
- ETH goes through Snowbridge, Polkadot's own Ethereum bridge: one signature.
- USDC and USDT go through Wormhole: an approval, then the deposit.
- Fees are paid in ETH on Ethereum, so keep a little ETH in MetaMask even when you send USDC or USDT.
- Your first deposit also pays your fees on Hydration, so you never need another token.
- You can close this page. The deposit keeps going, and this card picks it back up when you return.

When to move
- Just sent DOT to Asset Hub? Move it to Hydration here, or skip this: the Buy button on the Trade tab can move it and buy $WUD in one go.
- To Hydration to trade, provide liquidity or burn on the Burner Board. To Asset Hub to hold on Polkadot's main asset chain.
- Test-run first. Each move is simulated on both chains with your real balances. If anything would get stuck, the button stays off and nothing is sent.
- Your account stays open. The page always leaves the minimum each chain needs: about 0.1 DOT on Asset Hub, and 20,000 $WUD if you keep any $WUD on Hydration.
- Fees are paid in DOT on the chain you send from. Moving USDT, USDC or $WUD adds 0.1 DOT to carry it, and most of that comes back to you.

How transfers work
- Pick the chain your $WUD is on. Your balances are under the Trade tab. Most $WUD sits on Hydration.
- Same chain only. The recipient receives on the chain you send from. To switch chains, use the tab.
- Any Polkadot address works. Addresses starting with 1, 5 or 7 all point to the same account, so paste whatever the recipient gives you.
- On Hydration, an account needs at least 20,000 $WUD. Send 20,000 or more to a new holder, and keep 20,000 or more yourself, or send it all.
- On Asset Hub, the recipient must already hold a little DOT there, or the transfer is refused. Nothing is lost if it fails.
- Never send $WUD to an exchange deposit address. No exchange lists $WUD, and those tokens are unlikely to be recovered.

- Enter one amount. Hydration fills in the other side at the current pool ratio.
- Sign in your wallet. You receive pool shares, and your cut of the trading fees builds up in the pool.
How to remove
- Open the same pool page. Your position shows there once you hold pool shares, and also under Portfolio.
- Choose Remove liquidity, pick how much, and sign. $WUD and DOT return to your wallet at the current ratio.
- Impermanent loss. If the $WUD price moves a lot, you can end up with less value than simply holding both tokens.
- Keep a little DOT for network fees, and remember the 20,000 $WUD minimum per account on Hydration.
